2. Our Local-First Commitment

CashUp is built on a "Local-First" architecture. Your cash-up records, till counts, variance reports, and staff data stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

  • Zero Server Access: We do not have access to the figures, staff names, or notes you enter into the app.

  • No Cloud Sync: Your data is stored exclusively in your device's local database. Your data is backed up only if you perform a full device backup via iCloud.

  • On-Device Processing: PDF generation, variance calculations, and all app functionality happen entirely on your hardware.

3. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

  • Subscription information — when you subscribe, Apple and RevenueCat process your payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status only. We never receive your payment card details.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personal information unless you contact us directly. We do not collect any information about the cash figures, staff names, or business data you enter within the app.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality:

  • Your subscription status is checked to determine whether you have access to Pro features.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you subscribe, RevenueCat processes and stores your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your payment details — all payments are handled directly by Apple. You can view RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

6. Your Rights As a user you have the right to:

  • Access — view and edit any cash-up record directly within the app.

  • Deletion — delete any record within the app to remove it from your device. Deleting the CashUp app will permanently erase all stored data.

  • Portability — export your data at any time using the PDF export feature.

  • Withdraw consent — cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.

7. Business & Financial Data

As the user of CashUp, you are the Data Controller for the financial information you input.

  • You are responsible for ensuring your cash reconciliation practices comply with your company's internal policies and applicable financial regulations.

  • CashUp provides the technical means to store this data securely on your device but does not assume any legal or financial obligations related to your business operations.

  • For users in the European Union, your use of CashUp may be subject to GDPR. For users in California, your use may be subject to CCPA. As all data is stored locally on your device, TypanLogix does not process your business data on your behalf.

8. Children's Privacy

CashUp is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

Your cash-up data is retained on your device for as long as you use the app. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently erased. Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple in accordance with their respective policies.
