1. Who We Are

ClockOut: Staff Timesheet is developed and operated by TypanLogix, based in Australia. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@typanlogix.com.

2. Our Local-First Commitment

ClockOut: Staff Timesheet is built on a local-first architecture. Your store name, employee names, clock-in and clock-out times, photos taken at clock-in and clock-out, and exported PDF timesheets stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

Zero Server Access: We do not have access to the photos, employee names, shift records, or any business data you enter into the app.

No Cloud Sync: Your data is stored exclusively in your device's local database. Your data is backed up only if you perform a full device backup via iCloud.

On-Device Processing: PDF generation, timesheet management, and all app functionality happen entirely on your hardware.

3. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

Subscription information — when you subscribe, Apple and RevenueCat process your payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status only. We never receive your payment card details.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personal information unless you contact us directly. We do not collect any information about the employee photos, shift records, or business data you enter within the app.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's functionality:

Your subscription status is checked to determine whether you have access to Pro features.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you subscribe, RevenueCat processes and stores your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your payment details — all payments are handled directly by Apple. You can view RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

6. Camera & Photo Library

ClockOut requests access to your device camera to capture clock-in and clock-out verification photos. These photos are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers. Camera and photo library access is used solely for this purpose.

7. Your Rights

As a user you have the right to:

Access — view and edit any shift record directly within the app.

Deletion — delete any record within the app to remove it from your device. Deleting the ClockOut app will permanently erase all stored data.

Portability — export your timesheet data at any time using the PDF export feature.

Withdraw consent — cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.

8. Your Employee Data

As the user of ClockOut: Staff Timesheet, you are the Data Controller for the information you input, including employee names, positions, and shift records.

You are responsible for ensuring your time tracking practices comply with your local employment laws and any applicable workplace regulations.

ClockOut: Staff Timesheet provides the technical means to store this data securely on your device but does not assume any legal or compliance obligations related to your business operations.

For users in the European Union, your use of ClockOut may be subject to GDPR. For users in California, your use may be subject to CCPA. As all data is stored locally on your device, TypanLogix does not process your business data on your behalf.

9. Children's Privacy

ClockOut: Staff Timesheet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Data Retention

Your timesheet data is retained on your device for as long as you use the app. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently erased. Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple in accordance with their respective policies.

11. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

Apple In-App Purchase — payment processing. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat — subscription management. Governed by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data brokers. We do not sell your data to any third party.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Governing Law

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
